Heavy rainfall, strong winds and thunderstorms have been affecting southern Indonesia since 21 January, particularly in West Nusa Tenggara province, causing flooding that have resulted in displacements and damage.
According to the ASEAN Disaster Information Network (ADINet), as of 24 January, at least 34 people have been internally displaced, 7,632 people and 2,544 houses have been affected by river overflowing in Bima regency, and 200 people and one bridge have been affected in Dompu regency, in eastern West Nusa Tenggara province.
Over the next 48 hours, more heavy rainfall is still forecast over southern Indonesia.
