Floods that occurred since Sunday(13/9) at 18.00 WITA in Gunung Mas, Central Kalimantan have inundated more than 1196 houses, as reported by Central Kalimantan Antara News on Tuesday (15/9) at 17.22
According to the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Gunung Mas Regency, the flood with water level of 100-150 centimeters caused by the overflowing of Kahayan, Miri, and Rungan rivers due the high intensity of rain in the upstream of those three rivers few days before the flood.
1.332 households and 4.811 people from 9 sub districts were affected and forced several residents to flee independently at the homes of their relatives or the community shelters.
On Saturday (19/9) the flood had been subsided and the affected residents have returned to their homes
