Two people were killed and more than 100 others injured as floods hit Indonesia, said an Indonesian health minitry official on October 27.
Antara news agency quoted the head of the health ministrys Crisis Control Center (PPK) Rustam S Pakaya as saying that the two dead, plus the majority of the injured are from North Sumatra province.
Floods in West Kalimantan and West Sulawesi provinces did not claim any lives, he said.
However, one resident was reported missing in Gorontalo Province as a result of the floods, he said, adding that "Flood victims in Gorontalo are currently being evacuated to refugee camps, but the situation is still under control."
The floodwaters peaked at a height of between 40 centimeters and 1.5 meters, paralysing the city as a number of office buildings, shops and school buildings were inundated, said Antara news agency.
