On July 25 2004 at 22.40 (local time) new eruption occured at the Egon volcano
Ash explosion along with rumbling sounds revealed material explosions rose up to ~ 1000-1500m above the summit. Black thick column drifted to the NW-N and sulphur gas smelt very strong. Seismograph PS-2 recorded duration of the eruptions were ~ 2 hours and 30 minutes with amplitude 30-35 mm. People on the villages spontaneously went off to the places more save but it just temporarily. The refugees going back home after the situation was normal.
