The Government will provide $41.0 million over four years to provide administrative support for the Australia-Indonesia Partnership for Reconstruction and Development (AIPRD).
Funding to administer AIPRD is being provided separately to ensure funds are not diverted from the $1 billion provided by the Australian Government for Indonesia's reconstruction and development, following the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami.
This will ensure effective and efficient administration of well-designed, high quality development activities. All activities meet objectives agreed by the AIPRD Joint Commission, which includes the Prime Minister of Australia and the President of Indonesia.
