Yesterday’s deep depression over southeast Arabian Sea (AS) moved nearly westwards and crossed Lakshadweep Islands during 1400-1700 hours IST. Thereafter, it moved westnorthwestwards and lay centered at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 18 th November, 2018 over southeast AS near latitude 10.4°N and longitude 69.4°E, 350 km west-southwest of Kavaratti, 340 km west-southwest of Agatti and about 1700 km east-southeast of Socotra.
It is likely to move west-northwestwards away from Lakshadweep area during next 48 hours. It is very likely to maintain the intensity of deep depression during next 24 hours and weaken into a depression thereafter.
