RAINFALL/FLOOD SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY

Rainfall occurred at most places over Konkan & Goa and coastal Karnataka; at many places over Kerala, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, east Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Arunachal Pradesh; at a few places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal and Assam & Meghalaya and at one or two places over west Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, Gujarat, interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu. Weather remained mainly dry over rest parts of the country. The chief amounts of rainfall (2 cm or more) recorded at 1730 hours IST of yesterday were: Bhira-7, Bajpe and Shirali-6 each, Panambur and Agumbe-5 each, Portblair and Sidhi-4 each, Majbat, Jabalpur and Honavar-3 each and Valparai, Khajuraho, Ratnagiri, Kochi, Passighat, Gorakhpur and Mahabaleshwar-2 each.

  • Rain/thundershowers would occur at most places over Madhya Pradesh, east Uttar Pradesh and along west coast.

  • Rain/thundershowers would occur at many places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal & Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Odisha, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

  • Rain/thundershowers would occur at a few places over Gujarat region, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu.

  • Rain/thundershowers would occur at one or two places over rest parts of the country.
    Rainfall activity would increase over Rajasthan after 24 hours.
