RAINFALL/FLOOD SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY

The well marked low pressure area over north Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood has weakened and now lies as a low pressure area over northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining east Rajasthan. Theassociated upper air cyclonic circulation extends upto midtropospheric levels.
The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level passes through Phalodi, centre of well marked lowpressure area,Ambikapur, Jamshedpur, Digha and thence southeastwards to eastcentral Bay of Bengal.
The feeble off shore trough from Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast persists.
The western disturbance over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir still persists as an upper air trough in midtropospheric levels.
