RAINFALL/FLOOD SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY
- Moderate to heavy rainfall with isolated very heavy falls have been reported in some parts of Assam, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chandigarh and Sikkim.

The depression over east Madhya Pradesh moved westwards and weakened into a well marked low pressure area over north Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood. Associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends upto midtropospheric levels.
The axis of monsoon trough at mean sea level passes through Ferozpur, Hissar, Gwalior, centre of well marked low pressure area, Ambikapur, Ranchi, Bankura and thence eastwards to Mizoram.
A feeble off shore trough from Maharashtra coast to Kerala coast persists.
The western disturbance over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir persists as an upper air trough in midtropospheric levels.
