SUMMARY OF IMPORTANT EVENTS AS ON 10.07.2011

RAINFALL/FLOOD SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY

• Moderate to heavy rainfall with isolated very heavy falls have been reported in some parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Sikkim and West Bengal.

• Widespread rain/thundershowers would occur over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east Rajasthan, west Uttar Pradesh, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and along west coast during next 24 hours and decrease thereafter. However, it will continue over Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

• Fairly widespread rain/ thundershowers would occur over Jammu & Kashmir, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal & Sikkim and northeastern states.

• Scattered rain/thundershowers would occur over remaining parts of the country outside Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh where it will be isolated.
