The state has received deficient rainfall by 25 percent at 668.6 mm as against annual average at 892.2 mm resulted into declaring 33 out of 38 districts as drought hit by the State Government. Source: http://zeenews.india.com

However, due to continuous heavy rainfall in the Ganga Basins resulted into overflowing of water from Ganga and its tributaries. 20 Districts of Bihar has experienced flooding and resulted in the loss of hundreds of lives of the people and livestock. The Situation Report and Response Matrix have been prepared in view of the huge impact of flood and need of immediate response from Humanitarian agencies.
