Myanmar: Indian government donates US$ 250,000 for Tahlay earthquake victims

NAY PYI TAW, 26 April-A ceremony to hand over donation of US$ 250,000 by the Government of the Republic of India for the victims of earthquake-stricken Tahlay Sub-township of Tachilek District was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here today.

Ambassador of the Republic of India Dr Villur Sundararajan Seshadri handed over the cash assistance of US$ 250,000 from the Government of the Republic of India for the victims of Tahlay earthquake to U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Also present on the occasion were officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and officials from the Embassy of India.
