Flood Situation in Gujarat: -
- As per report received SEOC Gujarat, due to heavy to extremely heavy rainfall and rise of water level in rivers, flood situation has been created in south Gujarat and some other districts (Anand, Surat, Navsari, Bahruch and Vadodara). Highest rainfall 320 mm recorded today in Borsad city in district Anand.
- As per latest report received today on 26.07.2024, highest rainfall recorded in districts are - Tapi- 200 mm, Dang- 180 mm, Navsari-160 mm, surat-140 mm and Valsad-70 mm.
- Due to heavy rainfall and overflowing of river Vishwamitri, some areas of Vadodara city have been inundated.
- As per latest IMD forecast, isolated extremely heavy rainfall accompanied with heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places in Gujarat region on 27th to 29th July, 2024.
- A total of 08 human lives loss and 06 injuries have been reported during last 24 hrs and till now a total of 65 human live loss reported so far..
- A total 154 houses (Pakka-32, Kachha– 122) have been reported damaged during last 24 hrs and till now a total 1308 (fully-111 & partially-1197) houses reported damaged so far.
- A total of 14427 persons have been evacuated and 969 persons rescued during last 24 hrs.
- A total of 09 animal deaths reported during last 24 hrs.
- A total of 14 NDRF and 20 teams of SDRF have been deployed in the State for the rescue and relief operation.
Flood Situation in Maharashtra: -
- As per latest report received from the SEOC Maharashtra, due to heavy to extremely heavy rainfall since past few days and discharge of water from dams, flood situation has been created in some districts in the state. As per IMD report on 26.07.2024 a total of 280 mm rainfall recorded in Satara, 270 mm in Raigad, 240 mm in Pune, 190 mm in Kolhapur,180 mm in Thane, 140 mm in Ratnagiri, 110 mm in Nashik and 110 mm in Sangali districts during last 24 hrs in the State.
- As per IMD Report, Red alert has also been issued for 26.07.2024 to districts Raigad, Satara and Ratnagiri.
- As per the CWC (Central Water Commission) bulletin, river Bhima, Panchganga, Yerala, and Mula-Mutha are flowing above the danger level.
- A total of 18281 populations have been reported affected by flood in 11 villages of 06 districts in the State during last 24 hrs.
- A total of 18281 persons evacuated during last 24 hrs.
- A total of 05 human lives loss reported during last 24 hrs in the state.
- A total 3016 populations have been accumulated in 34 relief camp in the State.
- There is water accumulated on Railway tracks in Kurla and Ghatkoper areas. Water logging also reported on the roads and in the houses of people at several places in Pune.
- Approx 200 water pump are working to drain excess water in different areas.
- In view of the flood situation in Pune, 03 teams of NDRF have been deployed to evacuate the affected citizens and the Indian Army will be called. State Administration has asked the Indian Army to make boats available quickly where necessary.
- A total of 19 Teams of NDRF have been deployed in the state for rescue and relief operation.
Flood Situation in Madhya Pradesh: -
- As per report received SEOC Madhya Pradesh, due to heavy to very heavy rainfall, rise of water level in rivers and water discharge of dam, flood situation has been created in some districts of the state.
- As per IMD report issued on 26.07.2024 hhighest rainfall recorded 90 mm in Satana and 70 mm in Sidhi district in the state during last 24 hrs.
- Now the situation is under control and there is no flood situation reported in any districts of the State. As per CWC (Center Water commission), no river is flowing above its danger level in the State.
- A total of 03 human lives loss and 04 injuries have been reported during last 24 hrs.
- A total of 9 districts and 208 villages were affected by flood during past 48 hrs in the state.
- A total of 974 houses (Fully-93, partially –881) were reported damaged during last 48hrs.
- A total of 87 animal deaths also reported during past 48 hrs.
- A total of 71 persons were safely rescued/evacuated past 48 hrs in the state. .
- 12 Gates of Barsujara dam in district Tikamgarh, 05 Gates of Pavai dam in district Panna, 05 gates Pagara fider in district Sagar and 02 gates of Thanvar dam have been opened.
- A total of 04 teams of NDRF along with boats and other life saving equipment have been deployed in the State for the rescue and relief operation.
- NDRF teams are assisting local administration in rescue and relief operation.
Flood Situation in Assam: -
- As per the report received from the SEOC, the state has been facing a flood situation since 25.06.2024 due to heavy to very heavy rainfall and rise of water level in various rivers. As reported today, a total of 11 districts have been affected by the flood i.e Dhemaji, Dima- Hasao ,Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup Metro Morigaon, Nagaon and Sivasagar.
- As per IMD report issued on 26.07.2024 highest rainfall recorded is 70 mm in Nagaon and average rainfall 9.7 mm in the state during last 24 hrs.
- There is no human life loss reported during last 24 hrs and till now a total of 78 human lives loss have been reported during current flood season 2024.
- Till now, a total of 33,41,859 populations have been affected during the current flood.
- A total of 36,860houses have been reported damaged (Fully- 5,802, partially- 31058) during the current flood, so far.
- A total of 19 relief camps have been opened and 1953 inmates have been accommodated in relief camps.
- A total of 4,076 hectares crop area has been affected during last 24 hrs.
- A total of 12 NDRF rescue teams are deployed in the State for the rescue and relief operation.
Flood situation in Karnataka
- As per latest report received from the SEOC Karnataka, due to heavy to extremely heavy rainfall since past few daysflood situation has been created in some districts of the State. Uttara Kannada district is adversely affected by flood in the state.
- As per IMD report on 26.07.2024 highest rainfall- 180 mm rainfall recorded in Kodagu, 160 mm in Shivamoga, 140 mm in Chikkamagaluru, 150 mm in Uttara Kannada and80 mm in Udupi districts during last 24 hrs in the State.
- As per IMD report on 25.07.2024, highest rainfall- 140 mm in Chikkamagaluru, 110 mm in Shivmoga and Kodagu districts in the State.
Status of Landslide incident in district Uttara Kannada: -
- As per report received from SEOC Karnataka, a major landslide occurred on 16.07.2024 at around 0830 am on the NH-66 stretch in Shiroor village, Ankola Taluk, district Uttara Kannada, resulting in family of 5 running the tea stall along the roadside, 3 gas tankers [one fully loaded, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited tank and two empty, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited Liquefied Petroleum tankers] with one driver each, one driver of truck loaded with timber and one member on the opposite side of bank were trapped under a heavy mound of mud debris sliding them down to Gangavalli village.
- The State Government and District Administration immediately launched a joint search and rescue operation involving the NDRF, SDRF, Fire and Emergency Services, Indian Navy and Police.
- A total of 10 persons were missing. Out of which 08 bodies have been recovered (01 dead body is unidentified) and search and rescue operation for the remaining 02 missing persons is underway.
- The search operation for the remaining missing persons is being undertaken through joint team comprising of 31 member NDRF team, 42 member SDRF, 26 Fire Service personnel, 12 divers from Indian Navy, 02 columnof Indian Army [Engineering task force-01, MLI (Maratha Light Infantry) regimental centre-01] and police personnel are deployed search and rescue operation.
- The rescue teams are also deploying high end ground penetrating technologies for search operation. Presently identification of the truck using GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) device is underway and if signals are positive then priority for rescue will be given to that particular area so that the truck and its driver can be recovered.
- Rescue teams of Indian Army along with Specialize equipment such as Ferrex Locator 150, Ground Penetrating Radar, DSMD (Deep Search Metal Detector), Rafts with over board motors, specialized climbing equipment and medical equipment deployed for rescue and search operation.
- A long boomer is also deployed to dredge and the Indian Coast Guard has resumed air surveillance to locate missing bodies in the Gangavalli river and surrounding areas. Additionally, as advanced drone based intelligent underground buried objects detection system is also deployed.
- On 24.07.2024, the Army GPR has detected a metal signature in adjacent rivers about 70 meters from the landslide, which is confirmed to be buried goods truck by Naval Sonar Radar.
- On 25.07.2024, NDRF team assisted the technical team of Army & Navy with boats in searching the area with the help of drone fitted with intelligent buried object detection System (IBODS) in the river. Till now nothing conclusive has been revealed. As, reported the road side has been cleared but movement has not started yet.
- Equipment used for clearance of Debris: 3 Hitachi to Ankola side to remove the soil lying on the highway due to hill collapse on National Highway- 66 at Shirur, 2 Wheel Loader, 3 JCB and 23 Dumpers and 3 Hitachi, 1 wheel Loader, 1 Grader and 3 Hydra from Kumata side for removing soil.
