2. Damage reported by States/UTs during last the 24 hrs: -

Land slide incidents in Tripura: -

  • As per report received from SEOC Tripura, on intervening night of 19.08.2024 and 20.08.2024, massive landslide incidents occurred at various places in South Tripura, Gomti and Khowai districts of Tripura state. In this incident 08 persons have been reported dead and 02 persons are missing so far. A total of 1056 houses reported damaged. A total of 34,100 inmates accommodated in 346 relief camps. Rescue and relief operation is underway by NDRF, SDRF, Police, PWD and local administration.

Land slide incident in Sikkim: -

  • On 20.08.2024 at about 0730 hrs, an incident of a landslide incident occurred near 510 MW Teesta-V NHPC power project, Dipudara, Balutar, Sigtam. In this incident 01 GIS building of NHPC was severely damaged, 06 houses affected, 20 persons evacuated and were shifted to NHPC guest house. No loss of life and no damage to the NHPC power project have been reported so far. Rescue and relief operation is underway by BRO,
    DDMA, NHPC, Police and local administration.

Landslide incident in District- Wayanad, Kerala: -

  • On 30.07.2024 at about 0217 hrs, due to incessant and heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, a major landslide incident occurred at Mundakki, Chooralmala, Vellarimala Village, Meppadi Panchayat, Vythiri taluk in District Wayanad. As per report received from SEOC, on 20.08.2024 the search and rescue operation called off.
