2. Damage reported by States/UTs during last 24 hrs: -
Flood Situation in Assam: -

As per the report received from the SEOC, the state has been facing flood situation since 25.06.2024 due to heavy to very heavy rainfall and rise of water level in various rivers. As reported today, a total of 16 districts and 49 revenue circles have been affected by the flood i.e Biswanath, Cachar, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Kamrup, Kamprup Metro, Karimganj, Majuli, Morigaon, Nagoan, Nalbari and Sivsagar.

As per IMD report, the highest rainfall recorded in different districts during last 24 hrs are- Cachar- 120 mm & Tinsukia-80mm and average rainfall 21.1 mm.

As per the CWC (Central Water Commission) bulletin, river Brahmaputra and 02 other rivers are flowing above the danger level.

01 human live loss has been reported during last 24 hrs and a total of 77 human lives loss reported so far during current flood.

Till now, a total of 33, 37,981 populations have been affected during the current flood.

A total of 24,501 houses have been reported damaged (fully- 3306, partially-21,195) during the current flood, so far.

A total of 84 relief camps have been opened and 15,476 inmates accommodated in relief camps.

A total of 19,724 hectare crop area has been affected during last 24 hrs.

Road communication, telephone communication, water supply, electricity supply and other essential services have been affected in flood affected districts.

01 team of NDRF de-inducted on 16.07.2024 and now a total of 11 NDRF teams are deployed in the State for the rescue and relief operation.

Rescue, relief and restoration work are in progress by the NDRF, SDRF, Fire & Emergency service, PWD, Police, Aapda Mitra volunteers of ASDMA and local administration in flood affected areas.

An Inter-Ministerial Central team (IMCT) has been constituted by the Government to visit the flood affected areas of the State. The team will visit the State shortly.
