  • Karnataka flood situation: - As per report received from SEOC Karnataka. On 04.09.2022 Bengaluru recorded widespread rainfall. Certain areas in Mahadevapura Zone, East Zone,
    Rajarajeshwari Zone received extremely heavy rains in the range of 100 mm to 143 mm resulting in inundation of low-lying areas. The traffic disrupted on certain roads due to water logging.

  • The intensity of rain has reduced, however as per the forecast the widespread rains are likely to continue until September 8th.

  • NDRF, SDRF, Fire and Emergency teams with heavy de-water pumps have pumped out water from low-lying areas and have been cleared debris. BBMP has deployed teams at strategic locations with earth-moving equipment to respond to any contingency. The water level has considerably receded. There are few areas in Mahadevpura zone where water logging is still prevalent due to a breach in Halanayakanahalli Lake, which is being cleared on a war footing and situation is under control.

4. Deployment of NDRF:- Total 141 Teams of NDRF have been prepositioned /deployed across the country. State/UT wise deployment is at Annexure- II.

Today NIL reports received from 16 States/UTs :- Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttarakhand, Andaman & Nicobar, Dadra Nagar Haveli & Daman Diu and Puducherry.

Today reports not received from 16 States/UTs:- Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lakshadweep, Ladakh and J&K.
