Massive Landslide incident in District- Wayanad, Kerala: -
On 30.07.2024 at about 0217 hrs, due to incessant and heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, a major landslide incident occurred at Mundakki, Chooralmala, Vellarimala Village, Meppadi Panchayat, Vythiri taluk in District Wayanad. More than 400 houses / shops were reported buried under the debris during the landslide. A total of 221 persons have been pronounced dead so far, 344 persons are injured, 214 persons rescued alive and many people are still missing. A bridge connecting these villages has been washed away thereby making the affected areas difficult to access. The village has an approximate population of 2000. Massive landslide has disconnected many parts of the Taluk from remaining areas and many are stranded.

Cloud burst / flash flood incidents in Himachal Pradesh: -
As per latest report received from SEOC Himachal Pradesh, a total of 07 persons are reported died, 46 persons missing and 11 persons evacuated. A total of 95 houses, 14 bridges, 10 shops, 04 schools, 19 cattle sheds and 16 vehicles were damaged/ washed away during the cloud burst incident and flash flood incidents in districts of Shimla, Kullu and Mandi.

Status Of Stranded Pilgrims in District - Rudraprayag Uttarakhand: -
Due to heavy to very rainfall incident and landslide incidents on 31.07.2024, some bridges and roads were damaged/blocked between Lincholi and Bhimbali area on Rudraprayag- Shri Kedarnath Dham route in district-Rudraprayag Uttarakhand. Due to this incident approximately 350 pilgrims are stranded on Rudraprayag- Shri Kedarnath Dham route. Till now, a total of 9,580 persons have been rescued/evacuated safely with the help of IAF helicopters, Civil helicopters, NDRF, SDRF, Police and local administration. Efforts for rescue of remaining pilgrims is in progress by NDRF, SDRF, IAF, Army, Police and local administration. 01 person reported dead and 01 person got injured, so far.
- Safe evacuation of pilgrims is being done by 01 MI-17 and 01 Chinook helicopter of the IAF.
- Today a total of 400 pilgrims rescued / evacuated safely and till now a total of 9,993 pilgrims/persons have been rescued / evacuated safely by NDRF, SDRF, IAF, Army, Police and local administration.
- 01 Column of Army along with engineers team mobilized to affected areas.

Today reports not received from 17 States/UTs: - Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Goa, Haryana, Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland, Odisha, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, West Bengal, Chandigarh, Delhi, Lakshadweep, Puducherry and Ladakh.
