RAINFALL SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY (during last 24 hours)
ASSAM
Widespread heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy showers has been reported in the State during last 24 hours.
WEST BENGAL/ORISSA/BIHAR
Light to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy showers at a few locations has been reported in these States.
LOSS OF HUMAN LIVES
As per provisional information received from the affected States, 02 human death has been reported during the last 24 hrs. The cumulative number of people who have lost their lives during the South West Monsoon so far is 3314.
IMD
Yesterday's low pressure area over Bangladesh and neighbourhood has become less marked. However, an upper air cyclonic circulation extending upto 3.1 km above sea level lies over Bangladesh and neighbourhood. Under its influence, fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is likely over northeastern states and decrease thereafter and fairly widespread rainfall is also likely over West Bengal & Sikkim during next 24 hours.
Southwest monsoon has further withdrawn from entire East Uttar Pradesh, some parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, north Chhattisgarh and most parts of Madhya Pradesh. The withdrawal line passes through Supaul, Hazaribagh, Pendra, Betul, Jalgaon, Dahanu, Lat. 200N/700E, 200N/650E and 200N/600E.

There are 04 Moderate and 16 Low flood situation sites. There is no unprecedented or high flood situation site.
