Heavy rainfall continues to impact several states of India, leading to casualties, displacement, and damage.
According to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA, India), as of 9 and 10 July, at least 25 people have died, more than 1,500 have been evacuated, and over 120,000 people have been affected due to different events, including landslides, severe weather-related incidents, and floods.
On 11-13 July, moderate to locally heavy rainfall is forecast over central, northern, and northeastern states of India.
In the next two days, orange warnings for heavy rain and thunderstorms are in effect for central states, including East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh.
