- Heavy monsoon rains continue to affect the far north-eastern India, in particular the Nagaland state since June, triggering landslides and causing floods, flash floods and a number of severe weather-related incidents that have resulted in an increased number of casualties and damage.
- Media report, as of 5 July, five fatalities across the Nagaland state, of which two in the Tuensang district and one each in Kohima, Tseminyu and Noklak districts, Nagaland state due to flash floods and landslides. Damage to infrastructures were also reported across the aforementioned districts and Mokokchung and Kiphire districts.
- Over the next 48 hours, very heavy rainfall is still forecasted over north-eastern India.
