India - Landslide (NDMIndia, IMD, media) (ECHO Daily Flash of 25 June 2025)

  • A massive landslide triggered by heavy rainfall has impacted an area close to Janki Chatti village in Uttarakhand state, causing casualties.
  • According to the National Disaster Management Authority of India and media, two people died, two others are missing and another has been rescued and injured.
  • Rescue operations are still ongoing over the affected area.
  • On 25-26 June, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms are expected across Uttarakhand where orange warnings are in effect.
