Overall Situation: Nearly 17,94,554 people arc affected by floods in 22 districts of Assam. The most affected districts are Lakhimpur, Golaghat, Bongaigaon, Jorhat, Dhemaji, Barpeta, Goalpara, Dhubri, Darrang, Morigaon & Sonitpur, where over one lakh people are affected in each district. Authorities have opened 517 Relief Camps & 186 Relief Distribution Centre that houses total 2,29,544 inmates. Relief has been distributed as per requirement in all the flood affected districts. NDRF, SDRF and Indian Army are helping the district administration in evacuating the affected population to safe places.
