Highlights:

  • At least 755,000 children are currently displaced in Haiti - a crisis deepened by armed violence that displaced a further 29,500 people in Port-au-Prince, Artibonite and Centre during the reporting period alone. Cholera remains a concern, with 278 suspected cholera cases reported in four departments. Furthermore, more than 5,530 Haitian children were forced back across borders they had fled to escape.
  • UNICEF and its partners continued to deliver critical life-saving assistance, treating more than 13,600 children for severe wasting, providing safe water to 249,000 people and enabling access to primary healthcare to 111,700 people. Protection Cluster partners supported the reintegration of 74 children formerly associated with armed groups.
  • With the 2026 Humanitarian Action for Children appeal only 12 per cent funded, urgent support, especially in terms of flexible funding, is needed to sustain life-saving programmes.
