Thailand approves humanitarian fund for Haiti
BANGKOK, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Thai government
Thursday approved a fund worth of 20,000 U.S. dollars for Haiti after the
country was devastated by the powerful quake Wednesday, Foreign Minister
Kasit Piromya said.
Meanwhile, four Thai nationals living and working in quake hit Haiti have been found safe, Thai News Agency quoted Kasit as saying.
Also, the four Thais have already contacted with their relatives in Thailand, the Thai foreign minister said.
However, none of the four have asked for any assistance to return to Thailand, Kasit said.
