Under the Migrant Protection Working Group, the National Office for Migration (ONM), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the Support Group for Repatriates and Refugees (GARR) gather data on the volume of forced return flows at Haiti’s entry points. This information is used to guide appropriate assistance mechanisms for individuals who have been forcibly returned. The collected data includes the number of forcibly returned individuals (through systematic counting), the dates of their returns, and the countries from which they departed. This report outlines the flow of forced returns observed in March 2026, during which 22,060 individuals were returned to Haiti, a 4 per cent decrease from February 2026, yet a 23 per cent increase compared to March 2025. As in the past three years, the vast majority (99%) were returned from the Dominican Republic. The main points of entry for these returns were Ouanaminthe (38%) and Belladère (36%). Notably, Ouanaminthe saw slightly more forced returns than Belladère, reversing the usual trend. Explore the complete dataset collected since 2021 via the interactive dashboard.
