Above-average rainfall across Haiti
Haiti's agricultural activities have benefited from aboveaverage rainfall in July, improving crop conditions after a drier June. Despite erratic rainfall and high temperatures, the Printemps season is generally average. However, some areas in Ouest, Grand Anse, the coastal areas of Nord-Ouest, and L'Artibonite show negative NDVI conditions (see Figure 1), likely due to ongoing harvest activities and the start of the Segunda season's sowing.
The rainfall forecast for August indicates below-average conditions (see Figure 2). However, irrigation systems and the above-average July rainfall should support crop activities during their early phenology stages. While above-average temperatures are expected to favor photosynthesis, some areas may experience reduced moisture.
