The Haiti ICT Working Group has demobilized from all sites in line with its exit strategy. However, Internet connectivity services are still being provided to support the government in Jeremie and Les Cayes.
The Haiti ICT Working Group Coordinator is scheduled to leave the operation on 7 March.
Nearly four months since the start of the operation in Haiti, the Haiti ICT Working Group is demobilizing its services in Jeremie and Les Cayes. Local services providers have restored their services. The main project the Haiti ICT Working Group is working on is the establishment of community radio stations in four sites. This project will allow the community in the most-affected parts of Haiti to access information on the response through a medium that they are familiar with, community radio.
