It is estimated that 77 per cent (2.4 million) of the people targeted by the 2023 Humanitarian Response Plan have received at least one form of humanitarian assistance since the beginning of the year. This does not imply that all of the people's needs have been met. The 2.4 million people reached is mostly attributed to the vaccination campaign against cholera (1.1 million) or to the emergency food assistance distribution (1.5 million). The funding level for HRP 2023 remains low at USD 201 million, or 28 per cent of the funding required. This amount is insufficient to cover all of the priority needs of the population who are affected by the consequences of violence amid a deteriorating security context - leading to an increase in operational and logistics costs [The information presented in this document is based on data shared by sectors/clusters from the period of January to September 2023.]
