This information was collected following population displacements caused by armed violences that have occurred since 11 March 2025 in several neighborhoods of the municipality of Port-au-Prince (the downtown of the capital), including Carrefour-Feuilles, Bas Peu de Chose, Avenue Christophe, Bois Verna and Morne-á-Tuf. In total, 23,510 people were displaced due to this violence, the vast majority of whom (88%; or 20,698 people) found refuge in 15 sites, including 10 that already existed before these incidents and 5 created because of this situation. The rest of the people found refuge with relatives in host families. The majority of these people were already displaced and are forced to do so again: 10 sites that previously hosted 14,104 people were closed because of this violence and these people fled to other host locations. Since mid-February, incidents of violence have increased in the country's capital, leading to mass displacement of populations (see ETT 57.3 for other displacements that occurred in several municipalities of the country's capital between 14 February and 5 March).
