This report is an update of the one published on 6 April (ETT 61.1), following armed attacks that has occurred since 31 March in the Centre Department, specifically in the municipalities of Saut d’Eau (in the 2nd Section La Selle, 3rd Section Coupe Mardi Gras, 4th Section Montagne Terrible, and 1st Section Canot or Rivière Canot) and Mirebalais (3rd Section Grand Boucan and 4th Section Crête Brûlée). A total of 51,466 individuals (10,456 households) have been displaced as a result of these attacks, with 95% remaining within areas of the same department of Centre, primarily in Boucan Carré (24% of all IDPs), Hinche (21%), Lascahobas (17%), and Savanette (11%). The majority of displaced individuals (76%) have found refuge with relatives in host families, while 24% (12,584 individuals) have settled in 95 newly established spontaneous sites following these incidents. The vast majority of IDPs residing in sites are located in Boucan Carré, where 22 sites host 6,192 individuals.
