These data were collected following displacement caused by armed attacks that occurred on 2 March 2026 in the Artibonite department, more precisely in the 2nd communal section of Bas Coursin II, located in the municipality of Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite.
These attacks resulted in the displacement of approximately 446 individuals (102 households). The majority of displaced persons (96%) found refuge with host families, while 4% settled in two former sites that already existed prior to these incidents. All displaced persons remained within the commune of Petite Rivière de l’Artibonite.
DTM continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates as necessary.
