German Government provides one million euro for emergency aid to Haiti
Federal Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle
reported to the Federal Cabinet on the situation in Haiti. He informed
his colleagues of the first concrete assistance provided following the
devastating earthquake.
The Federal Foreign Office has reacted immediately by making available one million euro for emergency humanitarian aid to ease the plight of the victims.
The crisis task force set up by the Minister is closely observing the situation in Haiti and will decide on further measures in collaboration with other federal ministries.
