Development and Peace releases two-year progress report on Haiti program

It has been two years since Haiti was struck by a devastating earthquake that sent this already impoverished nation into a state of emergency, and leaving in its wake an unprecedented scale of destruction and wreckage.

Thanks to the generosity of Canadians, Development and Peace raised $20 million to respond to this disaster. In the first year, it contributed towards several emergency relief projects and, since November 2010, has been supporting reconstruction projects being implemented by its local partners.

There are many challenges still ahead for Haitians as they rebuild their country, however, the dedication of Development and Peace’s partners towards their communities and their country is providing hope for a better future.
