The country officially declared the yellow fever outbreak in Dabola (Faranah) on January 12th. No additional confirmed case has been reported since then.

The health districts of Guéckédou and N'Zérékoré were affected by 81 notified suspected cases of Lassa fever, with 5 confirmed cases (4 in Guéckédou and 1 in N'Zérékoré; 3 men and 2 women; 2 deaths).

The health district of Siguiri notified 3 suspected cases of poliovirus type 2, in July. The samples were sent to South Africa for sequencing.

11,369 children (6,367 boys and 5,002 girls) aged 6 to 59 months with severe wasting, including 2,071 children with medical complications, were treated nationwide, in 438 health centers, with the support of UNICEF and its partners.

15,000 people benefited from enhanced infection prevention and control interventions in 7 health facilities in the prefectures of Guéckédou and N’Zérékoré, during the response to Lassa fever.
