The situation in the West African country of Guinea-Bissau has returned to calm after disturbances caused by a group of military officers on Monday, according to the UN Integrated Peacebuilding Mission in Guinea-Bissau, UNIOGBIS.

Business is running as usual, the economic activities have resumed as well as public transportation, according to Vladmir Monteiro, Public Information Officer for UNIOGBIS.

No casualties have been reported so far.

Mr. Monteiro briefed Jocelyne Sambira on the latest developments.
