On 6 January 2025, the Guatemala National Coordination for Disaster Reduction (CONRED per its acronym in Spanish) updated their information on the heavy rains associated to the cold front in the country. As of 6 January, 317 emergency incidents had been reported, directly affecting 3,967 people and leading to the evacuation of 5,294 individuals, including 476 currently in shelters. On 6 January 2025, the United States Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) provided information regarding a winter storm bringing heavy snow and ice from the Central Plains to the Mid-Atlantic.
