In December 2024, a total of 7,647 movements were observed at the 5 Flow Monitoring Points (FMPs) located in key transit migration areas across the country (an average of 450 daily movements). This represents a decrease of 37 per cent compared to the previous month, where more than 12,000 movements were observed. Fifty-nine per cent travelled in small groups (ranging from 2 to 7 individuals) and 48 per cent were observed at San Marcos FMP, located at the southwestern border with Mexico.
