The humanitarian impact is increasing in Guatemala following the rainy season which is affecting most departments of the country.
The National Coordination for Disaster Reduction of Guatemala (CONRED) reports, as of 10 July, 17 fatalities across seven departments, 13 injured people, and more than 17,000 evacuated in 715 evacuation centres. In addition, almost 7,000 people have been impacted, as well as approximately 7,000 houses.
For the next 24 hours, moderate to localized rain is forecast over most of central and southern Guatemala.
