A new tropical cyclone MAN-YI formed over the North Pacific Ocean, south of Pohnpei Island (Micronesia), on 19 November. On 21 November at 0:00 UTC, its centre was located approx. 985 km south-east of Guam Island (USA) with maximum sustained winds of 93 km/h (tropical storm). It is forecast to continue north-west, strengthening before passing south of Guam as a typhoon on 22 November early in the morning. As of 21 November at 8:00 UTC, a tropical storm warning is in effect for Guam as well as for Rota and Tinian Islands (The Northern Mariana Islands).
