- UN Secretary General's representative in Georgia Heidi Tagliavini said at the meeting of the Parliamentary commission on Abkhaz issues that it would be inappropriate to consider the possibility of resorting to measures under Chapter VII of UN Charter to settle conflict in Abkhazia.
At the meeting of the commission Head of the Abkhaz government in exile Tamaz Nadareishvili expressed protest regarding the UN envoy's position and said that the Georgian authorities have already started activity to gain international support in order to use the Chapter VII, for peace enforcement in Abkhazia.
"The Georgian President, as well as Georgian National Security Council has already approved the proposal on peace enforcement," Tamaz Nadareishvili said.
