CRVENKOVSKI: "THE SITUATION NEEDS A REALISTIC APPROACH"

Skopje, July 17 - The SDSM leadership held last night a session at which leader of the party Branko Crvenkovski informed on the course of the political dialogue, the Macedonian Informative Agency reported.

"We are expecting soon, late tonight or yesterday morning, to have a meeting with special envoys of the European Union and the USA Fransois Leotard and James Pardew, at which we will be informed about the course of the talks with DPA and PDP representatives, after which we may give some more concrete assessment", Crvenkovski stated after the meeting.

Referring to the question whether he is an optimist, the SDSM Leader responded that it was wrong to be either optimist or pessimist in a situation like this. "It is the best to be a realist. The situation needs a realistic approach. At the moment we should not choose whether we will have a talk and an agreement, but whether we will have an agreement or we will face a very bad situation, one unpleasant scenario that we have already seen on the territories of the former Yugoslavia, and that is the military resolution, which I suppose nobody wants", SDSM Leader Crvenkovski stressed.
