Fiji's interim government has declared a state of natural disaster for western parts of the country after heavy flooding claimed the lives of six people.
Interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama has been visiting the flooded areas, and will visit more today.
He says his government is closely monitoring the weather situation and already planning recovery strategies.
