Fiji: Another food shipment to head for Lau

Another shipment of food supplies is expected to leave for the Southern Lau group following the cancellation of a Tropical Cyclone alert for the Fiji Group this morning.
Deputy Secretary for Ministry of Regional Development, Savenaca Kaunisela said the MV Tunatuki would be leaving Suva for a ten-day trip as soon an official clearance is received from the Nadi weather office.

The shipment will carry supplies and Telecom Tower poles for Nayau and Cicia.

"It is most likely that the ship would be directed to Cicia and Nayau to drop off the Telecom tower poles before going to the rest of the islands," said Mr Kaunisela.
