Government has allocated $433,700.00 for
the rehabilitation of Health infrastructure damaged by Tropical Cyclone
Ami in the Eastern Division.
Acting General Manager Community Health
Central/Eastern, Dr Setareki Vatucawaqa said ministry officials were pleased,
as this would enable health workers to better meet the needs of the community.
"We are now pleased that Government has given us the funds we need to get our job done," said Doctor Vatucawaqa.
Nursing Stations and Health Centres through out the Division have been in desperate need of repair, but budgetary constraints, exacerbated by their isolated geographic location have meant that this had not been possible.
However, the Division can look forward to enjoying the full benefits of health services once the repairs are completed.
