Brief lull before Fiji's weather worsens again
The break in torrential down pour which has caused servere flooding in Fiji may be over, at least temporarily.
Fiji interim Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama has launched a flood relief appeal to assist families affected by the flooding on the Western side of Viti Levu as more than 3,000 people remain in evacuation centres.
Neville Koop, a weather expert with Nadraki says Fiji is approaching an active period of weather with a cyclone likely to be formed in the Southwest Pacific next week.
