Some 13 health centers constructed in 13 pastoralist woreda of Borena Zone of Oromia State at a cost of more than 51 million birr have already rendering service, the zone administration said.
Zonal Chief, Boru Godana told ENA that that the construction of 11 health centers is underway.
He said hospital constructed at Yabelo town has already started providing service while at Moyale town is under construction.
The Chief said preparation finalized to construct three hospitals by the federal government.
Some beneficiaries of the health facilities said they have got health service access nearby.
As the facilities constructed nearby the vicinity of the local people they trim down the travel for women by 30 km to get the access, he said.
The local community has contributed for the construction of the health facilities through labor and cash.
