Safe water service coverage has grown to over 92 per cent from 64 per cent in Baso Worana Woreda, North Shoa Zone of Amhara State following construction of more than 290 potable water projects, the woreda water resource development office said. The Office told ENA that the projects constructed with 14 million Birr budget in rural localities, which had no access to the service. The projects include, among others, digging of 66 water wells and development of 229 springs. The projects undertaken in collaboration with the government, NGOs and the public benefited more than 120,000 residents.
