1. Introduction
The conflict erupted in Tigray Regional State on November 4, 2020 has extended for a year and recently spilling over to Amhara (North Wollo, South Wollo, North Gondar, South Gondar, Tegedie and Waghimera) and Afar (Zone 2 and Zone 4) resulted in damaging significant lives and livelihood. The situation invites humanitarian agencies to rescue lives and livelihoods. As the situation of the war intensified, the community as well as WVE staffs were forced to evacuate from organization’s operation areas (Jille Timuga, Kombolcha, Mersa, Ambassel, and Lagambo).
In line with this, twelve technical staffs of World Vision Ethiopia (HEA, Finance, Education, WASH, Sponsorship, Administration and Supply Chain) have carried out rapid assessment in seven Woredas of Kewot (Shewa Robit), Jille Timuga, Lagambo, Kombolcha, Dessie, Habru (Mersa), and Ambassel) on December 18 – 25, 2021 and collected primary data utilizing FGD, KII, and field observation.
2. OBJECTIVE: -
The overall objective is to assess the feasibility of each Woreda for operation continuation, the war impact on the community, key priority areas that need attention, and to know the current security situation.
