Attacks on civilians (including humanitarian workers and civilian infrastructures/facilities)

Amhara

  • The ongoing conflict in the Amhara region has increased the humanitarian crisis, with attacks on civilians, including Kidnappings, killings of both civilians and humanitarian workers. The conflict has led to the destruction of infrastructure and public institutions; victims include Humanitarian workers, Refugees and IDPs

Gambella

  • In August, a total of 3 individuals were killed and 1 other individual was wounded by Unknown armed groups in Dimma, Gog and Itang special woredas.

Somali

Ethic conflict

  • Disputes over land ownership and other natural resources resulted ethnic fighting communities in Darimi kebele of Tuliguled Woreda, Fafan zone was reported. According to the reports, around 5-7 individuals were killed, and unknown number of individuals were injured.

  • In Siti Zone, a total of 92,710 IDPs in, out of which 42,300 are conflict related, 8,717 climates induced and 41,700 drought-induced are displaced. The key needs are food, shelter, NFI, health, nutrition, Protection, and education. Response is still limited.

Tigray

  • In August, there were no reports of attacks on civilians.
