Japan signs grant contracts for GGP amounting to over 561,800 USD

Addis Ababa March 07/2013 The Japanese government here on Thursday signed five Grant Contracts for Grassroots Human Security Projects (GGP) amounting to over 561,800 USD with organizations engaged in undertaking various development projects. Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Hiroyuki Kishino signed the contracts with heads of the Association for Forced Migrant, the Samaritan Foundation of Destitute Dying, the Duwaw Community Development Organization, the Education Office of Gondar Town and the Tigray State Education Bureau. One of the projects will be in improving access to safe water in Ambassel Woreda, South Wollo Zone of Amhara State with 119,861 USD of the stated sum while the rest will be used for expansion of schools.
